Any parent can withdrawal their child with a four week notice of the equivalent in tuition.
DROP OFF/PICK UP: The state of Michigan requires that we have an attendance record and that we record when the child leaves the school. The safety of the children is our primary concern. We ask that you escort your child to the room, help them take care of their belonging and get their name tag on. the classroom door will open at 9:00am for the morning class and 1:00pm for the afternoon class. Please come to the classroom/outside play area to pick up your child. Students will not be released to anyone who has not been previously approved on the child information card. Please let us know if there are any changes. Dismissal is from 11:20-11:30am and 3:20-3:30pm. Please pick up your child during these time frames. A five minute grace period will be given after that a late fee will be charged. The late fee is $5 for every 5 minutes late.
RELEASE OF CHILDREN: Only those listed on the child information card will be allowed to pick your child up. Any person other than a parent must be 18 years or older. We will not release to anyone who appears intoxicated or under other impairments. Children are asked to say goodbye to their teachers when leaving.
ROLE OF THE FAMILY: Much success of your child in the program comes from your participation. You are your child's first and most important teacher. There are many ways you can participate: several opportunities throughout the year, being a board member, assist with fundraisers, assist with field trips, sub in the classroom, etc.
REQUIRED PAPERWORK: The Michigan Department of Consumer and Industry Service, Division of Day Care Licensing requires that a child information card be on file for ALL children in the program. ALL INFORMATION MUST BE COMPLETE AND UP TO DATE. This is extremely important for the safety of your child.
ILLNESS POLICY: If your child is not feeling well please keep him/her home. Please notify the teachers if your child is sick and/or contagious. Teachers report each week to the health department any child who was contagious and what they had. Please do not send your child to school with a fever, if they are vomiting, have diarrhea, complain of pain, are unusually drowsy/are sleeping more than usual, have a body rash and fever, severe cough/difficulty breathing, red, swollen eye or puss draining from the eyes, open wounds on areas of skin, if they have lice, ringworm or pinworm. 989-772-1580 is the classroom phone number.
